3 FESTIVE NAIL ART IDEAS & STEP BY STEP
Silly season is here!
We know just how busy things can get in the salon, and sometimes adding nail art to a service can feel overwhelming when you’re not fully prepared. That’s why we’ve put together a collection of simple Christmas nail art ideas you can feel confident offering during the festive rush. These designs are easy, effective, and perfect for getting you through the madness with ease!
Try this beautiful and simple Holly Wreath!

- Start by laying down your base colour and don't cure (we are using a wet on wet technique for this nail art look). Add dots of a rich green gel polish in a circle shape on the nail. Roughly 6 dots should do (depending on the nail length of course).
- Continue by adding more dots of gel polish in a lighter shade of green and in white to add depth. Remember, don't cure yet!
- Use your dotting tool to swirl all the dots together in a circular motion, this will reveal the shape of the wreath. Don't over mix the colours, we want to see the different tones. When you are happy cure for 30 seconds.
- Apply top coat and cure for a further 60 seconds. Using a vibrant red add three dots together in a few different places on the wreath, this will be the holly's berries. Before curing the dots you can sprinkle them with clear acrylic powder to add texture to the over all look. When your happy simply cure for 30 seconds!
- Dust away any left over acrylic powder. Add some snow to the berries with nail art paint white and thin liner brush, cure for 30 seconds.
- Tah Dah! A cute fast Christmas look!
Try out this Festive Bow!

- Apply your base colour of choice and cure, the more glitter, the better in our opinion 😉. Add a top coat and cure again. This look will be finished with a frosted effect. We used a sparkling red with a gold stripe. Using white nail-art gel, paint one side of the bow in the shape of a butterfly wing.
- Repeat this step on the opposite side to create a mirrored butterfly-wing shape.
- Paint two small loops at the top of each butterfly-wing shape to add depth to the bow. (See photo number 3 above).
- Fill in the bottom half of the bow with white nail-art gel, do not cure this part yet.
- Sprinkle acrylic powder onto the uncured gel. You can use the back of a cuticle pusher to scoop and sprinkle the powder. (Use clear acrylic powder if you want the colour underneath to remain visible.)
- Cure for 30 seconds, dust off the excess powder, and finish with diamonds for the perfect festive look.
Master the snow flake look!
